Aventador SVJ v NISMO GT-R v M5 CS: DRAG RACE

Aventador SVJ v NISMO GT-R v M5 CS: DRAG RACE

It may be raining, but this could still be one of the greatest carwow drag races of all time! We’ve got Mat lining up in his all-new BMW M5 CS, and next to him we’ve got a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ & a Nissan GT-R NISMO!! Now we’re sure we don’t need to tell you, but the stats on these cars are absolutely WILD! First up we have the BMW, which is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that’s good for 635hp & 750Nm of torque. It weighs in at around 1825kg, and it’ll set you back £141,000. Then we’ve got the Lambo, which houses an almighty 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 under the bonnet, which can put down 770hp & 720Nm of torque! Lamborghini claims it weighs in at around 1500kg, and it’ll burn a huge hole in your pocket, costing upwards of £360,000!! Then finally we have the Nissan. It’s powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6, and it’ll produce 600hp & 650Nm. It’s lighter than the BMW, at 1700kg, but it’s also more expensive, costing around £180,000. So, can you pick a winner?! There’s only one way to find out what’ll happen…. LET’S RACE!

1. Photographs – ¾ frontal, ¾ rear, interior, odometer reading and special features (if appropriate).

2. Historical significance – You must identify the historical significance of the vehicle. If a person of historical significance owned the vehicle, you must submit proof that this person owned the vehicle. If the vehicle was the first or last vehicle of a particular model, you must establish this through the manufacturer’s documentation or, if this is not available, through a recognized historical source. If the vehicle was "one of a kind," you must establish this also.
Items of significance must be numerically listed followed by the reason why the item is of significance.

ON-ROAD USE

A vehicle eligible for Show or Display may receive NHTSA approval to be driven on the highway. The odometer must not register more than 2,500 miles in a 12-month period. NHTSA approval of limited on-road use is to allow the vehicle to be driven to and from nearby displays of similar automobiles. Another reason permission is granted is to maintain the vehicle’s engine, braking, lighting, and other dynamic systems in good working order. The vehicle is still required to meet EPA requirements. If the original engine in the vehicle will be replaced with a non-original engine to meet EPA requirements, it must be identified in your application since it may impact on the technological or historical significance of the vehicle. Email me if you need help importing vehicles.

Its interesting that the 2020 Gordon Murray Automotive T.50 is on the list of approved vehicles, but won't even be delivered until 2022. Not only is it not current production, its future production.  Since all these vehicles are very limited in number, its very unlikely that they will ever hit 500 cars made.

UK: Auto-Top is an honest and pure car filming and testing company. We're not interested in eco & green (unless it's like, really superfast). Screaming exhausts, whining superchargers and blowing turbo's is what we want to hear! We review all sorts of performance cars. In the different playlists you can enjoy exhaust sounds, acceleration tests (0-100, 0-200) with launch control, onboard cams and the revving sound of each car. Exotic cars, hothatches, power sedans. We have it all!
